Here’s why –
Vitamins and Minerals in Kefir
Kefir contains highly beneficial bacteria and yeasts that promotes healing and repair as well as general maintenance.
Kefir is rich with high levels of thiamin, B12, calcium, folates and Vitamin K2 and biotin, a B vitamin that helps the body assimilate other B vitamins. The complete proteins in kefir are already partially digested and therefore more easily utilised by the body. Kefir is a great source of minerals like calcium and magnesium and phosphorous which helps the body utilise carbohydrates, fats and proteins for cell growth, maintenance and energy.
Great for the Gut and Bone Health
Kefir is a potent probiotic drink that protects against gastrointestinal diseases and improves lactose digestion in adults with lactose intolerance. The healthy symbiotic micro flora is antifungal and antibacterial and certain bacterial strains from the kefir culture can treat colitis by regulating the inflammatory response of the intestinal cells.
Drinking kefir is a great source of Vitamin K2 which plays an important role in calcium metabolism in depositing calcium in appropriate locations such as in the bones and teeth assisting bone growth, and prevents it from depositing where it does not belong such as the soft tissues and arteries.
This is great to drink on an empty stomach before breakfast or for breakfast.

We researched a bit why milk , we mean raw milk is nutritious and important to our diet and here’s the amazing fact that we have discovered –
Raw milk is loaded with good protein, something that most of us are lacking in our bodies these days thanks to the degeneration of our foods. Raw milk contains immunoglobulins, an extremely complex class of milk proteins also known as anti-bodies. They provide resistance too many viruses, bacteria and bacterial toxins and may help reduce the severity of asthma symptoms. Raw milk contains lactic acid. Lactic acid boosts the absorption of calcium, phosphorus and iron in your body.
Raw milk contains fat that your body needs; you also need this for your digestion system to work properly. Did you know that fat free homogenized milk lacks the hormone that your stomach needs to tell you when you are full? That’s right, drinking fat free store bought milk can actually contribute to obesity. Raw milk contains this hormone in the fat that is in the milk. Did you know that babies that cannot drink regular milk can drink raw cow’s milk?
And did you know that babies that are colic are so because of the formula they are drinking. Babies that are colic and allergic to baby formulas can usually drink raw cow’s milk too. CLA, short for conjugated linoleic acid and abundant in milk from grass-fed cows, is a heavily studied, polyunsaturated Omega-6 fatty acid with promising health benefits. Grass fed cows has 3-5 times the amount found in cows fed from a feed lot. What is so important about CLA’s?
The potential benefits: it raises metabolic rate, helps remove abdominal fat, boosts muscle growth, reduces resistance to insulin, strengthens the immune system and lowers food allergy reactions. Now how many of us could use more CLA’s in our diet? The vitamin content in raw milk is untouched, nothing needs to be added to raw milk to make it good for you, in store bought milk without adding all the vitamins and minerals you would have nothing but a chemical drink that would probably kill you, raw milk is a complete food.
Since raw milk is so easy for our bodies to digest it takes the load off of the pancreas and other organs involved in the digestive process. The beneficial good bacterium that is found in raw milk is like taking a huge dose of vitamins and getting instantly well. Probiotics are what most of the world is lacking in their stomachs, so much that we have to take supplements such as the popular Acidophilus just to combat heart burn, digestion and acid reflux. You heard right, acid reflux is contributed to by the diet we are on.
The foods we eat are deficient of the good bacteria, vitamins and minerals we need to function properly. It’s not “normal” to have acid reflux and heart burn. It’s just that today’s society has accepted it and therefore knows no better or different way of living. Raw milk therefore provides a necessary ingredient to our digestive systems.

Our clients are asking what bio-dynamic food is. We did a bit of research and here’s what we found-
Like organic farming, bio-dynamic farms stress biological methods in regard to humane treatment of animals, food quality and soil health (such as green manures, cover crops and composting). However, bio-dynamics takes it a bit further. In addition to organic biological practices, bio-dynamic practices also incorporate metaphysical aspects of farming. You read that correctly — metaphysical. Farmers who practice a bio-dynamic approach consider the life force of the farm. Think of it this way: Conventional farming is to bio-dynamic farming as conventional medicine is to homeopathic.*
We checked how biodynamic farming started and truly we felt a strong sense of affinity to the principles developed by Dr Rudolf Steiner an Austrian social activist who developed the biodynamic method in farming. This method stresses a diversified, balanced farm ecosystem that generates health and fertility as much as possible from within the farm itself. Preparations made from fermented manure, minerals and herbs are used to help restore and harmonize the vital life forces of the farm and to enhance the nutrition, quality and flavor of the food being raised. Biodynamic practitioners also recognize and strive to work in cooperation with the subtle influences of the wider cosmos on soil, plant and animal health.**
Inspired by Steiner’s holistic insights , most biodynamic initiatives seek to embody triple bottom line approaches (ecological, social and economic sustainability). Biodynamic practitioners seek wider engagement with other farms and across various organizations to strengthen delivery of good health and increased well-being such as schools, hospitals, medical and wellness facilities, restaurants, hotels, homes for social therapy and other organizations.**
We think this is what is needed in farming and agriculture at the back of phenomenal challenges such as climate change, food poverty, malnutrition and food waste as societies and governments seek innovative ways to address unrelenting rate in population growth and increased pace in urbanization.
